Last Friday lunchtime, we had two special guests come to talk to the grades 3-6 about how humans and animals interact. There was Jessamy Miller, author of "Happy Hens," to talk about the HenPower program, where elderly people at nursing home are given chickens to look after. Scientists have shown that it is good for your mental health and makes you happier. The other speaker was Emilia Berra with Isa the retired therapy dog. She spoke about how dogs have helped humans in the past, and how they continue to help us today. We got to ask plenty of questions and we are now raging with ideas for the project.
